A month later, Judge Patricia J. Gifford sentenced him to 10 years in prison, but suspended the final four years of his sentence. Tyson was finally released in March 1995.
She was raped by Tyson while checking into the emergency room at Methodist Hospital. According to multiple reports, Desiree told that Tyson invited her to his hotel room and coerced her. She also told how Tyson laughed at her when she cried during the hearing of the case. Tyson’s driver also testified at the trial. As a result, Tyson was sent to prison for six years. However, he served in prison for less than three years before his release.
