He attends East Lansing High School (Mich.) where he helped lead his 2015-16 team to a perfect 19-0 regular season record and finished 23-1 overall; averaged 19.7 ppg., 10.3 rpg., 2.9 bpg. and 1.9 spg. as East Lansing captured the Capital Area Activities Conference Blue Division and Class A district titles before falling in the regional finals.

Aided his team to a 12-9 mark and a third-place finish in the CAAC Blue Division as a freshman in 2014-15.
