Prediction:

Elina Svitolina, the world No. 15, has had a dismal start to her 2022 season and is hoping to turn things around in Dubai.

On the Australian hardcourts, she lost in the first round to Anastasia Gasanova and Madison Keys, respectively, in Adelaide 1 and 2. The Ukrainian advanced to the third round of the major before losing 0-6, 2-6 to Victoria Azarenka.

Svitolina’s previous season was likewise tumultuous, and she fell out of the top 10 as a result. Even though she won Olympic bronze and a WTA 250 victory in Chicago, it wasn’t enough to keep her ahead of the pack.
