Schwartzel received $4.75 million for his efforts, including $4 million for the individual victory and $750,000 for being a part of the winning team. All of this is part of the richest prize in golf history, with players receiving $20 million and teams receiving $5 million ($25 million total).

Liv Golf Contracts 2022

For quite some time, the LIV Golf Invitational Series(opens in new tab) has been a huge talking topic in golf, with undoubtedly one of the main emphases being on the amount of money being thrown around within the tournaments.

In terms of prize money, golfers will compete for $225 million over eight events, with seven games offering a $25 million purse and a $50 million finale at Miami’s Trump National Doral. Furthermore, this does not include appearance fees or money used to entice players to leave the PGA and DP World Tours and join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Series.

Look at the reported numbers that have been given to players to play below:

Phil Mickelson Liv Contract

Phil Mickelson converses with his caddie during the LIV Golf Invitational Series.

According to several reports, Mickelson has been offered $200 million to participate in the LIV series, with Lefty saying that he will “play the eight (events) this year and 10 next year.”

The alleged contract is more than double what Mickelson earned over his 30-year PGA Tour career, with the 51-year-old earning approximately $95 million during that time.

Dustin Johnson Liv Contract

Johnson is one of the stars of the LIV Golf Invitational London, having been promised a staggering $125 million. This may rise to approximately $150 million if the American plays alongside Mickelson in the first event in Hertfordshire.

DJ earned approximately $75 million in career earnings on the PGA Tour, winning 24 PGA Tour championships, including two Majors and six World Golf Championships.

Ian Poulter Liv Contract

Ian Poulter addresses the media before the first LIV Golf Invitational Series event.

The Telegraph(opens in new tab) reported in February that Poulter had been offered between $20 and $30 million to join the LIV Series.

In addition to Poulter, fellow countryman Lee Westwood said at the 2021 PGA Championship, “If someone came here and gave me £50 million to play golf when I’m 48, it’s a no-brainer.” It is unclear how much Westwood has been offered when appearing at The Centurion Club, but if his prior statement is any indication, it is still a sizable sum!

Bryson Dechambeau Liv Contract

Although he was not in the field for the inaugural event at The Centurion Club, DeChambeau has become the latest major name to join the LIV Golf Series(opens in new tab), with the former US Open champion slated to appear at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Oregon, from June 30th to July 2nd.

DeChambeau has been related to a number of wealthy individuals. Earlier in 2022, the American was allegedly promised $135 million, with the figure eventually climbing to more than $240 million. According to insiders, Bryson will now receive a guaranteed $100 million to join LIV Golf.

James Piot Liv Contract

James Piot, who is only 23 years old, has his entire career ahead of him. The 2021 US Amateur champion, however, has taken a reported $1 million to sign up for the event at The Centurion Club, according to the Detroit Free Press(opens in new tab).

“This is a fantastic opportunity for a 23-year-old to travel the world and visit places I’d never imagined visiting, and being able to make an influence people is something I’d like to accomplish with my career.” I’m really happy for this opportunity and look forward to performing wherever I can in the future.”

Matt Wolff Liv Contract

Here is what Matt Wolff said in his Liv Contract “This contract offers me peace of mind and secures my family’s future.” I had previously accomplished everything as an amateur, and now I will be able to get professional experience.”

Following recent speculation, The Telegraph(opens in new tab) reports that Matt Wolff will be introduced by LIV Golf on Monday, alongside Spanish amateur Eugenio Chacarera.

Although the Saudi-backed series has grabbed the likes of Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, this is likely the one that will make the PGA Tour sit up and pay notice, with both men under the age of 25 with the ability to achieve major things in the game.

Pat Perez Liv Contract

According to reports, Perez has signed with the LIV Golf Series for $10 million, which, while significantly less than some of the other players in the series, is still a sizable sum for a player who hasn’t won since the 2017 CIMB Classic and is on the verge of becoming eligible for the PGA Tour Champions circuit in just four years.

Perez’s announcement was a little strange, with the American’s wife, Ashley, breaking the news via an Instagram story. Perez is seen swinging a golf club at the legendary 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass as the words “BREAKING NEWS!!” appear across the screen. It is then followed by a simple message that reads, “Pat Perez has joined with LIV Golf.”
