In January 2020, a helicopter crash rendered 9 people ineffective, including NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
He and his daughter were on their way to Gianna’s basketball game at his Mamba Sports activities Academy in Thousand Oaks, California, when the helicopter crashed in cloudy native weather.
According to the investigation, the helicopter crashed and caught fire at 9:45 a.m. in Calabasas, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Bryant, his daughter, and the other seven occupants were killed in the crash.

In addition, the county is being sued for an undisclosed sum of money by Vanessa Bryant, the widow of NBA legend and mother of Gigi, and Chris Chester, an Irvine financial advisor. They misplaced his associate and 13-year-old daughter in the collision, for negligence and invasion of privacy in relation to footage taken on the scene.
The county claims that every photograph taken by the firefighters and sheriff’s deputies was quickly destroyed, is no longer available, and was never made public.
According to the testimony of a Los Angeles County firefighter, footage taken at the scene of the deadly helicopter crash was also shared during a cocktail hour at an awards ceremony a month after the crash, which killed NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and seven others.

Throughout his testimony on Friday, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy, one of many first officers on the scene, claimed that he “didn’t make a mistake” when on the request of one other deputy on the command submit, he took 25 footage on the scene, some of which included close-ups of body elements, and despatched them to totally different officers.

As a result, Vanessa Bryants filed a lawsuit against the county for the gruesome footage taken by first responders on the scene of the helicopter crash that killed her husband, fearing that footage of their relatives’ injured bodies would eventually appear on the web because, as one of their attorneys stated this week to the jury, “digital lives eternally.” She claimed that as a result, she still suffers from emotional pain.
