Barcelona started a new era on Saturday when they face Alves in La Liga.
Ronald Koeman was sacked on Wednesday after a 1-0 loss to Rio Vallecano that has left Barca in ninth place in the league, five points behind a Champions League spot.
The Catalans cannot afford to lose further ground at La Liga’s major clubs and have put Sergi Barjuan in a temporary change before Xavi takes over the reins of the club in November.
Barca’s league status means they must focus on each game and even though there is no permanent coach for the upcoming clash, it is still one that they will have to win.
Sergi is not injured in this match, especially in the midfield. Key players Pedri and Frankie de Jong are both missing due to injuries in this area.
Elsewhere, Sergi will have to do without Martin Braithwaite, while Ousmane Dembele and Anu Fati are in big doubt. Ronald Araujo is not expected to be ready to play in defence.
Not much is likely to change for this encounter.
Sergio Aguero could make his second start at the forefront of the attack with Philippe Coutinho and Memphis Depay.
Sergi Busquets is likely to be the centerpiece in the midfield, with Nico Gonzalez and Gavi playing a role. Ricky Puig will hope Koman will be given another chance after he leaves.
No surprises are expected at Defence, where Jordi Alba and Gerard Pique will be senior partners. Eric Garcia and Sergio Dest should also continue.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will score as usual.
Alves, meanwhile, is sweating out talented goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco, but he should have his full panel to play for this encounter.
